The goal this week remained unchanged, I’m still focusing on preparing for launch day. Two more weeks of this, afterwards I’m going to have to start making actual weekly goals.

Worked

We’ve been working on filing a provisional patent, and I’ll be honest. I’ve been putting it off for weeks because…well…I find it extremely tedious and boring work. HOWEVER. I feel accomplished because I sat down and worked on the illustrations. Mostly done at this point. Still a bit to do. Sometimes you just have to put things like this on the calendar and force yourself to get it done. I’d post them but, you know. Confidential.

Also put together our press release, which we have slated to distribute out next week. Along with that, I’ve been putting together our local media list (with the help of a couple of friends). We are hoping to get some much needed press going around our launch day. Stay tuned to see how it goes next week!

Other Stuff

Read : I had the extreme privilege to preview an unpublished book this week. The title is “Perfectioneur” and is all about high performing people pleasers, and how they can better take care of themselves. My review might even make the inside cover! I’ll be sure to share a link when it becomes available.

Watched : the wifey started watching the Adnan Syed documentary series, and it sucked me in. I never listed to Serial, but the story is unreal.

Listened : just got around to listening to the new Russ album.

Learned : 1099 tax forms are important. Important to file in January. Enough said on that one.

Mental Check : feeling highly motivated

Tool I’m Loving : we’ve been using Wave for our accounting because, frankly it’s free. And easy to use. I know that we’ll have to graduate to a more robust system at some point, but up until now it’s been just fine.

Out + About : last night I attended a virtual book launch party, and we were inspired to use the Crowdcast platform for our own virtual launch party. More details to come on that as well!
